Hi ,
When i boot form my virtual machince which is loaded with windows 2008 full installation it is not detecting network card. I have added the card in the virtual network setting still i am not able to see in virtual machince.
If i try to update the drivers on virual machince it tells the device is disabled since firmware did not give the required resources. code 29 error.

Are you talking about the WS08 full installation running as a VM under WS08 Hyper-V or WS08 as the host OS itself? If it it the former, try adding a legacy network card and see if this helps.

Hi ,
I have installed windows 2008 full installation on VM machince and if i boot VM and try to configure ip address the network adapter is not detected. Where the same network adapater is detected on the physical IBM X3655 server after installing windows 2008 full installation.
One more think when i try create a SCSI disk under VM setting by providing a FC disk form storage i am not able to dectect the FC Driver however if i use IDE disk and controller under VM setting i am able to detect the FC disk forn storage.
Is there any prob in IBM X3655 server since it is a SAS Controller. I am able to install windows 2008 server on the physical box with out any addaitional drivers why not in VM machince.
I am facing lot of problem. Is there any testing done by microsoft on this front.

As pointed out earlier, try to add a legacy network adapter prior to starting the WS08 VM. If you have built the latter from ground up, you should be able to use the new synthetic devices. It is also suggested that you use IDE to connect the primary VHD instead of SCSI as previously recommended (under Virtual Server 2005).
One last thing, remember to remove any Virtual Machine Additions and install the new Integration services that come with WSv / Hyper-V.
Hope this helps.

So what you say is installed a different network card physically on the server and then try to install the drivers. Well i have already tried Brocadom Network card and sill it does not work.
So u told to remove any virtual Machine additions and install new intrgration services what is this. How to perform this on windows 2008 server.

You need to install the Integration Components. You can do this by running the Virtual Machine Connection and selecting 'Insert Integration Services Disk' from the Action menu.

If you open up the Hyper-V Manager and select the virtual machine in the list, one of the actions that can be taken against the virtual machine (on the right hand side) is "Connect". Click the link, and that will start the Virtual Machine Connection application, which allows you to interact with the VM.
