Hello,
I have bought 3 Windows server 2008 R2 Datacenter OEM Keys and installed the Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2 version from the Datacenter CD´s provided from the manufacture. Now we have done ALOT of configuration in the system, and I realise the installation from my OEM kit has changed into a RETAIL version of Enterprise edition (!!). So my question is now:
How do i activate these instances? or how do i do a downgrade of the version so i can activate them?
I cannot use the key from the datacenter key, as this is both the wrong version (not Enterprise) and it is a OEM key.
I bought a windows 2008 R2 server enterprise down edition kit from microsoft, but they tell me its a OEM kit. Will this work????
Thanks,
Thomas Andersen

Hi,
Towards the Windows Server Downgrade information, there is a link for your reference:

URL: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/downgrade-rights.aspxIf you are OEM customers, please refer to the OEM customers tab.
And you could refer to the Downgrade Terms and Conditions for help:
