    Hi there,

i was wondering if there are any best practices for setting up Exchange 2010 environments with a 3-hop dmz for
    hosted Exchange access.
We currently use Exchange 2003 with a Cisco ASA in front of it and are planning to set up a new exchange 2010 environment.
Does anyone have experience with this ? How many servers do we need to realize ExchangeActiveSync, OWA and Outlook
    access for a test-environment ?

And another question I found while browsing here. Is it possible to set up multi-tenant environments with the release of E14 ?

    Regards

You've posted this as a comment.  Please change it to a question.

I'm not sure what you mean by 3-hop dmz, but this article discusses supportability for Exchange in DMZ environments:

As for the other question, you can get all of your desired functionality with a single server.  Breaking out the roles to seperate servers gives you flexibility in your deployment, but is not required.

With respect to the question about multi-tenant environments, HMC is the ideal product for this, however you can possibly accomplish your needs by following these steps.
