Ok, we are in phase of migration of Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010. In Exchange 2007 we had a local replicator connection to a disk which was mounted thru FibreCard. I see now that Exchange2010 does not use LRC but instead of that it's using DAG.
My question is if you wanna use DAG to replicate your mailbox databases to other location, does this other location needs to have a mailbox Exchange 2010 role installed or can this be a simply shared network location?
If this link is correct: http://www.windowsitpro.com/article/john-savills-windows-faqs/q-is-local-continuous-replication-lcr-supported-in-exchange-2010- then we can not do it on old fashio way, to replicate to other partiton on the server which would be mounted on a storage thru fibre card?
with best regards,

YES....You will have to install the Mailbox Role. Exchange 2010 do not support shared storage.
