    Hi Guys

    We looked at SCE 2007 a while ago and found that we couldn't implement it in our environment due to the stupid limitation of not being able to have a Upstream WSUS server. Big flaw in the product that they say is designed at midsize businesses with up to 500 clients. Does Microsoft think that mid size businesses don't have multiple sites? Seems ridiculous anyways enough of my rant.

    Does SCE 2010 now support this?

    Please refer to the Deployment Guide for information.

    Essentials 2010 does not support upstream server (USS) mode.

    If you have an existing WSUS server and install Essentials on it, then if the existing WSUS server is operating in downstream server (DSS) or replica mode, it is made autonomous.

    Essentials 2010 does make use of Branch Cache to minimize bandwidth between it and remote branches.
