Answered Upgrade from RC to RTM...trouble in paradise

Got the upgrade tool from Microsoft support and I'm testing it in a lab. Per the documentation I am trying to uninstall the RC and retain the database, the uninstall process completes with no errors. The first time I attempted to do this, I ran the upgrade tool, which also completed successfully and then went to install RTM.. it blew up almost instantly after clicking install telling me my version of VMM is not upgradable. I don't understand, I should have no version of VMM installed. After digging through program files and the registry and cleaning out anything about VMM, I got past that and then hit some snags because the domain account I'm signed in as to install it it doesn't recognize it as local admin since I'm off the network, that's alright, I feel confident that part will go smoothly once I do this in production.

Attempt 2: I stood my copy of our VMM environment up once again, and this time I was very cautious to make sure all VMM services were disabled, nothing was running, I then uninstalled VMM from Programs and Features selecting retain database. I rebooted after the uninstall, I then ran the upgrade tool and attempted to install RTM. I was greeted by the same error about version not being upgradable to 2012. I deleted the System Center 2012 folder out of Program Files and then ran the installer again where I was greeted with the same error message.

The only thing I can find is the SCVMM Agent service is still in Services.msc, although it is disabled. Surely there is a cleaner way to uninstall it then cleaning out the registry. Any help would be much appreciated.

Problem solved. Like I said, I was testing the migration in a lab isolated from the network. Once I was actually on the network and using my domain account I installed with, the whole process went smoothly. Now on RTM.
