SVCHOST.exe(LocalServiceNetworkRestricted) Consuming all system memory

    Pertanyaan

  • Hello All,

I have a server 2008 R2 Standard edition 64Bit, for the past few days memory utilization has been very high and constant not reducing. When i check the system resource monitor i notice that svchost.exe(LoocalServiceNetworkRestricted) is consumin about 7GB out of the Total 8GB. Please what can i do to stop this process from consuming high memory. The last time i stopped this process event log stopped working. See snapshot below.

    Thank you

  • I suggest you check below thread and also check whether we have any memory leaks?

  • I would recommend proceeding like that:

    • Do a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
    • Install the latest Windows updates
    • Update your drivers / firmware / BIOS

    Once done, check again.

  • I found it expedient to move all my workloads to virtual machines

this way problems can be contained better

I need server specifics, a visio like network map would be useful too
