Exchange 2010 SP RU1 install fails

I'm trying to install SP2 RU1 on my cas/hub servers and the install fails with the message
( The Setup Wizard for Update Rollup 1 fro exchange server 2010 service pack 2 (KB2645995) ended prematurely because of an error. your system has not been modified. to install this program at a latter time, please run the installation again)

Try installing the RU from an elevated command prompt. See:
