Hi
In sbs 2003 , one of the resigned employee's username is renamed to the new joinee's name in AD and changed all the smtp , mail addresses in the exchange tab of the username and new password for the new user has been given.Outlook profile created for the new user in his pc for exchange account and when the user sends mail , it is reaching the recipient in old username's mail address.
I checked all the options in AD & Exchange and ran gpupdate /force . also .
Usually there won't be any problem of renaming the user account .
but this time I got stuck.
Please advise me!
Thanks & Regards S.Swaminathan Live & let others live!!!

Try renaming the legacyexchangeDN of this user and see if that helps.
You need to use ADSIEDIT and edit the LDN attribute of this specific user. The current LDN will be of the old user and have some linking on the cached information on Outlook.
Good luck !

If this is not the case, please provide more detailed information aboutthe issue you are encountering:
- The version of Exchange server and Outlook clients;
- Does Outlook run in Cached mode or Online mode?
- Does the issue occurs in OWA?
- What does it mean by "when the user sends mail , it is reaching the recipient in old username's mail address"? If possible, capture a screenshot.
Thanks.
