This error occurs on both Hosted and On-Premise MAs.
I have change the following WSMAN settings based on some reading I did on the error message.
{MaxShellsPerUser="25"}
{MaxConcurrentUsers="25"}At some point it has a deadlock and server crashes.
ERROR
The extensible extension returned an unsupported error.
The stack trace is:

Since you're part of the Live@edu program, if you have problems with OLsync I would recommend contacting Support. You should be able to open a case with Microsoft (or find the right number to call) by logging into the SMP at eduadmin.live.com.
You can also try posting your question at outlookliveanswers.com. Others here might have seen similar problems, but it is more likely that visitors to the other forum are running a configuration similar to yours.

Thanks Chris,
LIVE@EDU support was able to provide a solution.
Deleting the cookies located in this registry path: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WSMAN\Client\ConnectionCookies\"
and rebooting the server stopped the "This user is allowed a maximum number of 3 concurrent shells, which has been exceeded" error messages.
