Documents / New Document: Excel ?

Hi,
Question from a beginner:
In my SharePoint 2010 library, when I select Documents / New Document, I get a command to explicitly create a Microsoft Word document.
How can I add a command in this menu to allow the creation of an Excel workbook?

When you create your document library, if you click more options you will see toward the bottom an option to change the document type from a word document to a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet. Hope this helps! (To my knowledge I do not know of anyway to change a document library from one type to another if it is already in existence)

Hi,
What you need to do is create a site content type using Excel fileas template, then add this content type to the library you want to create Excel.
