Jawab Access denied while deleting a SharePoint site with full control permission

I have full control permission on a SharePoint site. But while I try to delete site, (using Site-Actions -> site-settings -> Site Administration section > Delete this site link) I get Access denied error.

And the log shows following entries:

Deleting the site at http://xxx/yyy and not deleting AD accounts.

Unknown SPRequest error occurred. More information: 0x80070005

I do not really think I do not enough permissions on site. what could be the error here? Or what is the way to trace the exact issue?

    Hi,

Check the effective permissions on the site. You can use security report account provided by MSFT in adminToolkit for this or you can use my tools at:
