I have an Asus UX31E laptop with a multitouch mousepad.  When I run IE after a while the keyboard stops working with the browser.  I can click elsewhere on the computer and the keyboard works fine, but even after closing and reopening IE the keyboard will not work in the browser.  I then if I launce Safari it still won't communicate in the Safari browser either.  It may be tied somehow with the multitouch as it seems like it may occure after the browser changes size when I have 2 fingers on the mousepad by mistake.  The only way to restore the functionality is to reboot the computer.  Any idea on how to fix this?

You have an unusual problem.  Suggest you contact ASUS to have your system fixed under the warranty included in the price of your system.

    Also, see information @ http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/contact-support

If Windowswas already installed on your computer when you purchased it, your computer manufacturer provides support for Windows.

    Hi,

I suggest you use an external keyboard to check the result.

You may boot the system to clean boot environment and then try again:
