Jawab A couple of WMC issues

I´m running a WMC in a Windows 7 Home Premium that came with my HP TouchSmart  520-1002. The computer is joined to a home group that includes a W7 Ultimate core I7 desktop.

I´m sharing some movies/series folders via windows (with everyone full access to them). I also have an Avermedia Volar HD connected via USB to watch live tv.

In the beggining all went fine, i could browse all the folders, watch episodes and watch live tv. A couple of weeks ago, the software started to slow the opening of shared files. I can browse them quickly but it takes a minute to start playing it. If i try to play them out of mediacenter, via networks share with WMP the delay is the same one. I can see "opening multimedia file...". I have all the CCCP codecs installed.

I´ve tried uninstalling WMC, restoring it, optimizing.. but nothing works.

And  today, after several tries i´ve noticed that i can´t hear live TV audio in WMC (no click in navigating menus also).  If i play a file, it sounds and if i play live tv with the avermedia software it sounds. Only inside WMC does not work..

any ideas? Thx in advance and sorry for mu bad english..

    Hi,

You may try to reset the Avermedia Volar, then test again. Otherwise, your problem is related to another product, please try contacting their support for help.

I would think that it´s an avermedia issue if the only sound that does not work is the Tv one, but as i wrote before there is no sound inside the WMC, not in navigating menus nor in the opening logo (and it´s activated in setup).

Any idea about the delay in opening files? Thx for your help anyway...

    Hi,

How long is the delay? If it just has a few second, it should be normal.

A minute, more or less... and it worked fine in the begiining with just few secs of delay.

    Hi,

How about playing Media files locally? Also, you may change another media player to test whether the delay persists. If so, I assume this is caused by the bandwidth of connection. please copy a file from remote computer in explorer for a test.
