    I want to migrate the WSUS 3.2.7600.226 installed on a Windows 2003 R2 to a Windows 2008 R2 (VM in HyperV)

    What steps should I follow?

    Install Windows Server 2008 R2 on the VM. Install WSUS as documented in the Deployment Guide. Set the VM up as a replica of the existing server and synchronize. When the sync and content download is completed, reset the new VM as the upstream server, and update your GPO(s) to point to the new server. When all clients have properly registered with the new server, pull the plug on the old one.
