Internet Explorer Disable or Uninstall Fix It tool

    Question

  • Hi,

While running JavaScript through Internet Explorer 8, I was getting alert: "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?"

I searched for this problem and installed Fix it tool from

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175500

I am not able to find out from where to disable Fix it utility. This utility has been also applied to my AOL browser. Plese suggest any way to disable this.

I am not an administrator of system.

    Cheers,

    Pratima

  • Hi,

Please using registry editor. (Back up the registry keys first before editing it.)

    Open this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Styles

    Then, find and remove “MaxScriptStatements”.

  • Hi Kim,

As I don't have administrative access to the system, I am not able to edit registry.
