  • Hi,

the first step in troubleshooting web browser issues is to test by running in noAddons mode. TechNet.com and dotnetcurry.com use social iframes.

Post feedback (Bugs and Problem websites) to the IETeam at http://connect.microsoft.com

    Regards.

  • Try using Steps Recorder (Start > and type steps recorder) to record the whole process. It will output a zip file.

Also, search iediag in start and run it while you reproduce the error. It will output cab file.

Finally, upload both files with your bug report on connect.

  • Hi,

Based on my test, it works fine on my windows 8.1 with IE 11.

Firstly, we need to check the following:

    1.  Do you mean the issue is only occurred when you enable the enhanced protected mode?

    2.  How about other browsers? Do they also meet the same issue?

    3.  If there is a computer on the other network, please check if it also meets this issue.

Please try the following to check the issue:

    1. Disable the security software temporarily and see if it works.

    2.  Reinstall the IE 11 for a test.

As Real McCoy mentioned,  the recording can be used to quickly identify problems and help reduce time spent with the help desk.

Please upload “Problem.zip” to SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) and share its URL with us.

    Hope it helps.

  • I am having a similar problem, as many of our users are reporting that they are getting a blank page when using IE11 to access our website, play.net. Firefox and Chrome work fine. If they disable Protected Mode in IE, then they can again access our site, but this isn't a good solution because we have thousands of users and we can't go telling each of them to reconfigure their browsers, not to mention that we're going to completely lose the business of those who just surf by, see a blank page, and then keep on going without filing an error report.

We are running the site off of IIS7. Other sites on the same server run fine, it's just the one particular site, play.net, that is having the problem, and it's intermittent, affecting some computers and not others.

There must be something I can do on my side in the server settings or webpage code to keep this problem from happening, but I'm baffled as to what it might be. When I look at the network traffic on a browser that's failing, the GET request is just being aborted with no explanation. When looking at the traffic with Wireshark, I see no errors, and no errors are showing up in the IIS logs.
