How to disable security scan when downloading a file

    Question

  • When downloading files in IE 10 we get quite long security scan times after file is downloaded.

Is this an IE feature i can disable or exclude file extension from being scanned?

  • Hi,

For security reasons,we don't recommend disabling the IE security scan.

If you still want to disable it,please perform the following steps to check the result.

    1.Open Internet Explorer.

2.Tap or click the Tools Tools button, then tap or click Safety.

3.Tap or click Turn off SmartScreen Filter, and then choose either Turn off SmartScreen Filter

4.In the Microsoft SmartScreen Filter dialog box, tap or click OK.

  • Hi,

Based on my research, there's no option to "disable" the security scan.

    It is designed by default.

    I hope you understand that.
