  • That's Google telling you it couldn't find the webpage you asked for. I would double-check the URL and make sure it's mail.google.com and try again.

  • Hi,

    According the issue, I wonder whether this problem only occurs when you login to Gmail?

    Since "404. That’s an error. " Is an error message webpage from Google, this kind of problem usually related the web server. I suggest that you may check the URL and re-access the website after a moment.

    Here is the correct URL:

    http://mail.google.com

    Or https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&bsv=llya694le36z&scc=1&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2&from=login

    Also this problem may occurs if you enabled the Always use https setting in Gmail, you may encounter errors when using Google Toolbar's 'Send to' feature. You can work around these errors by disabling the Always use HTTPS preference on the General tab in your Gmail settings.

  • This is not a google error. The 404 error occured when I tried to view a disk made by WOLF CAMERA of my pictures. The disk says DVD includes DIGIDAL Scrapbook software for your computer.  I cannot view my pictures because I get a 404 file not found

  • "an error. " when trying to login to Gmail."

    This is not a google error.

    Sounds like it.  ;  }

    The 404 error occured when I tried to view a disk.

    So your "Me too!" is not the same as the OP and you should start your own thread if you need help.

    However, this does give me the opportunity to suggest to both of you that you could use an HTTP tracer or a full TCP packet trace to get more details about your common symptom.   Unfortunately it is only starting in IE9 when such a trace feature was built-in to IE.
