Internet explorer 10 open and close immediatly

    Question

  • Hello to all people,

I'm using windows 7/64 bits with IE 10(just downloaded).

I've updated windows (with update process) and now IE 10 open and close immediately. I've tried to reinitialize the ie10, reboot but does not work. When I want to uninstall with the through the control panel with disable windows components, it does not work. How can I uninstall IE10 and re-install IE 9 ?

I've read also many forums and tried differents "solutions" but nothing worked for me.

I'll appreciate if someone can help in this matter.

    Thanks

    Chris

  • I've found that the solution was to run sfc /scannow (repair os files)

  • Shut down your machine,

    Restart and Reset ie10,

    Delete your browser history,

Click the Start button and click on Control panel/ Internet options/ Delete button)

Check All of the boxes and Uncheck the very top box,

    Click on Delete.

    Reset ie9 or ie10 manually,

    Click on Control panel,

    Click on Internet options,

    Go to the Advanced section,

Click on Reset button on the bottom,

Check the box to Delete personal settings,

Use the recommended setup and install options.

  • Hi,

I've done what you wrote but unfortunately it does not work, when I run IE10 it open and close immediately after.

Is there a way to remove IE10 from Windows 7?

    Thank you

  • Click the Start button and click on Control panel,

Click on Uninstall a program/ Programs and features,

On the top left click on View installed updates,

Scroll list right click ie10 and click on Uninstall.

  • ie10 is a Optional/ Recommended windows update,

If the Uninstall did not work it's because ie10 is reloading when you boot your computer,

Click the Start button and click on Control panel,

    Click on Windows Updates,

On the top left click on Change settings,

    See this picture,

    Then Repeat the Uninstall process.

You must Shut down your machine before changes are made.
