    Hi,

I took a fiddler while logging on to MSN and it used the following URLs:

    login.live.com
    CONNECT
    login.live.com
    config.messenger.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    CONNECT
    rad.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    rad.msn.com
    cp.intl.match.com
    rad.msn.com
    local-bay.contacts.msn.com
    bs.serving-sys.com
    CONNECT
    local-bay.contacts.msn.com
    msntest.serving-sys.com
    msntest.serving-sys.com
    msntest.serving-sys.com
    msntest.serving-sys.com
    sup.live.com
    bs.serving-sys.com

However, out of these, only live.com and msn.com were HTTPS. hence, if you exclude live.com and msn.com from inspection, shoul help you.

You can take a fiddler trace yourself for the process and check the URLs.

    Hi!

I run Messenger behind a TMG with HTTPS Inspectin enable without exclutions.
Do you have a rule with the "Live Messenger" protocol from the internal klient network to External?
Make sure that this is a rule for "All Users" if you dont run the TMG  Client.
If you use proxy and require authentication be sure that your Live Messenger uses the same proxysettings as you Internet Explorer.

    Best regards,
    Anders
