Clear Install Flag Client Rediscovery Period

I have my site running in Native Mode and today i came though an unusual obersation, i had clients installed on a few machines and notice i noticed that a few of my machines were not sending me any status and has a message saying "no status" which means and to what i observed that the machines with no status had no sccm agents on them. Although the agent was installed previously on those machines but somehow it has been uninstalled.
I donot have the Clear Install Flag Enabled which to what i understand doesnt clear the flag from the database and shows me that the client is installed with a status YES instead of a NO
Now if i enable it there is an option saying client rediscovery preriod, which by default is 21 days and it should be greater then the heartbeat discovery.
My Question is that if i enable the Clear Install Flag, wont the machines be rediscovered using the Active Directory System Discovery schedule which in my envoirment is 7days and when is it actually going to use the client rediscovery period(Is is going to check in its database rather then going on to active directory?). I am a bit unclear on this part and would need clarification.

The "clear install flag" does the opposite of what you described: it flips the install flag (client = yes / no) from yes to no so that the client might get re-pushed again (e.g. for upgrading purposes). There's no built-in mechanism that would uninstall the client automatically.
AD system discovery might discover those computers, but they will stay in status 'client = no'. It's heartbeat the flips the flag from no to yes (which requires the ConfigMgr client).Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

Hello,
This should help you give more info on the Install flag.

Let me know if this is what you want to do.
Thanks
