Hi,
We have 3 to 4 terastation’s and I want to use them for my backup devices in DPM. Or if taps can support in DPM that’s also works for me.

Hi,
I am not familiar with terastation, but if it's a NAS device, then DPM cannot use it for the DPM storage pool. DPM requires block level storage devices (DASD, JBOD, Fiber or iSCSI SAN LUN) We also support local scsi, or remote attached iscsi or fiber attached tape libraries.

With regards to storage, would you get better performance from backups over a DASD array versus iSCSI? or are the gains negligble? I'm needing to add an additional 20T to our existing storage and I want to know if i'd be better off forklifting in a replacement.
THanks,

Hi,
You would need to do some homework on i/o performace of each solution, however iscsi gives you more flexability in terms of moving it between servers should the DPM server hardware fail.
