    windows updates will not install error 641 windows installer is not working right so far I tried to fix this with dot net clean up no good

    Check if the Windows Installer Service is enabled: if it is disabled, enable it, reboot the system and run Windows Update again.
    If this does not fix your problem, try resetting the Windows Update components: read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 971058.

    Thier is not windows installer service in services

    running vista sp2

    The Windows Installer 4.5 comes with the Windows Vista Service Pack 2, so it shoudl be installed in your system.
    Read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 2642495: it provides a Fix It tool that can repair Windows Installer.
    If this does not solve your issue, you can download Windows Installer 4.5 from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483 and install it manually.
