We have a custom forms authentication with custom providers. In development the SSO works and we can see that the FetAuth cookie is set, meaning we are able to open a word document without the login popping up. But in production this is not the case, here the users have to enter there credentials when opening word documents. Production is running on https and has tree servers to front end server and one application server I can see that the FedAuth cookie is not set. But I cannot figure out why this is? Are there any settings that are missing or can be checked?

    Hi,

The easiest way to see a resolution for your issue would be for you to create a service request regarding your issue. You can log into the Administration Portal to create the service request and a support engineer will assist you.

Hi looks like the question was moved under SharePoint Online. It is not an SharePoint Online issue, we have this issue in SharePoint farm with two front end servers and one backend server.

The thing that worked for us was that we noticed that the SessionCookie was set to true. Turing that off made sharepoint create the FedAuth cookie, as long as the user checks the “remember me” check box.
