I have the OCT file, placed it under the \office 2010\Updates\ folder. I have done the package in SCE 2010 and used the installation parameter "/p \\servername\office 2010\Updates\Office2010.MSP /qn"
Using a KMS key and that is reflected in the OCT file (by default). Trying to deploy on XP sp3 machine with office 2003 already installed. successfully deployed to the same machine some interactive microsoft guides.

Hello Mikael,
To deploy office 2010 with SCE 2010, you can follow the instructions in the below articles:
Deploy Office 2010 by using System Center Essentials 2010

I don't know if you're still having trouble with this, but the above command says you're only wanting to apply a patch, which isn't right. Installing office uses the setup.exe after you've configured the installation with the customization tool. The Updates folder is where the msp file goes once the customization is finished. Setup.exe looks for configuration changes (msp files)in the Updates folder, there is no need to specifically address this folder since the installer does it naturally. All you have to do is give it setup.exe and that's about all.

martedì 15 marzo 2011 19:43I did change the parameters around, for some reason it was not taken only setup.exe so I had to use "setup.exe /adminfile updates" but that was all. But you should in theory be correct.
