Answered SSP - Cascading drop downs

    Hello,

Has anybody found a way to build cascading drop downs into the user prompts? What would be nice is if the user has selected an item from one drop down menu and then a following drop down is populated with items related to what they just chosen. For example a list of Product Makes, and a List of Product Models referring to the Make the has been chosen.

This would be extremely useful. The helpdesk system we use here (which we badly want to get rid), as simple and basic as it is has this functionality.

I guess the Plan B would be to use infopath, but then I'm in a world of trying to mesh InfoPath forms into the SSP.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Andrew

You can use Query field type to do that. First field can pull fata to second and so on. but in this case you must have all items in CMDB.

Fantastic, cheers Anton. Funny just before leaving work today i was looking at that field type thinking i gotta work out what that one does next. Well i know what's on my list of things to check out first thing tomorrow :-)

I'll give it a go and see how i get on, if you've got any examples that would help me out loads. But if not no worries and thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
