I have started a trial of Intune but before I start rolling out clients and uploading software etc., I would like to know how this instance will be upgraded to our partner entitlement?

What I want to avoid is to set up this trial to work with my business but then have to do it again because its not the right version for partners.

    Hi Marc,

to be able to use your IUR's for Windows Intune you have to be registered as a Microsoft Cloud Partner. You will need to enter a code in the promotion field when sign up for the trial. Microsoft will then send you a confirmation e-mail. More can be found here: https://www.microsoftcloudpartner.com/GetBenefits.aspx

    Hi Philipp

The thing is, I have already started a trial so I can no longer enter the promotion code.  I can't start a new trial as I already have a trial open with my Windows Live ID

    Hi Marc,

that is a bit of a pickle. Youcan ofcourse always start a new trial with another live-id, or try connecting with your PAM or start a ticket with the Windows Intune helpddesk, maybe it can still be transitioned into an IUR account.

    Hi Philipp

Do you have a link for the help desk?  I had a similar issue with Office 365 which ended up as a support ticket.  I got complicated as we had already rolled it out.

    Hi Philipp

The link doesn't work.  To be honest though, I think I am going to leave it for a bit.  We need to review how this will fit in to our business before I start getting bogged down with support calls.  Thanks for your advise anyway.

    Hi Marc,

weird that the link doesn't work, works perfectly fine here. Here's another one you can try (directly to the support form):

    https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=mocpintunebilling&ct=eformts

Anyway, i can understand that you might want to take a good look at this, we've been using Windows Intune for over a year now for our clients and are very happy with it, but it doesn't fit every business model for sure.
