can you skip that during the migration ? I've not tried this scenario yet.

And I saw some keys in "product.ini" under "sources" folder of the installation package .

    Hi,

According to my test, upgrading from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 RC did not ask for product key.

Please refer to the following link to download the ISO and perform the upgrade again to check the result.

Download Windows Server 2012 Release Candidate Datacenter

In addition, you may try to find the key by following the suggestion above.

Are we going to be able to "upgrade" to RTM from RC?

    Having the same issue.

Upgrading from windows 2008 R2 enterprise, and being asked for a key trying to upgrade to Windows 2012 RC.

Installation will not continue without the key.

Tried both 8400.0.WINMAIN_WIN8RC.120518-1423_X64FRE_SERVER_EN-US-HRC_SSS_X64FRE_EN-US_DV5 & en_windows_server_2012_release_candidate_datacenter_x64_dvd_863833 with the same results.

Also used the keys in "product.ini" under "sources" folder of the installation packages, but did not work.

Anything can be done to force the installation without a key?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks
