    Hello,

I am have a RDS farm with several RD Session Host servers running Windows Server 2008 R2. I have several RemoteApps deployed and everything is working as expected. I am now trying to figure out a process to allow some support users to remote control other users sessions for training purposes.

So my initial thought was to build a MMC console with the Remote Desktop Services Manager snap in and add the RD Sessions hosts to the it. The the users which are giving the support\training can remote control other users session by running the console from their workstations. But boy have I been wrong because the Remote Access feature is only available if the console with the Snap-In runs in a RDS session.

I have to admit that I do not really understand why MS would do it like that however I wonder if there is a way arround this or what other options do I have to enable the support personal to remote control the sessions?

    Thank you

    Marcus

    TP,

Dang you are right. I was thinking about full Desktop RDS sessions.

    Never mind then.

    Thanks Marcus

I have the exact same question except I want our help desk people to remote control full desktop sessions, not remote apps.  Is that possible without them having to use a RDS session?
