Microsoft Activation IP Addresses

    Question

  • Office and Windows Activation

I need to allow non authenticated traffic for this but my firewall doesn't allow FQDN.

So I have to ask, are there too many IP Addresses to pursue this?

Answers

  • you can always use nslookup on the FQDN and use only ip address.

alternative if  u are planning to aactivate via network why not activate via phone /

    dial microsoft licensing support.

  • ya I know how to get an IP address but with locations all over the country wouldn't that be overwhelming? And I'm certain Microsoft would use locators so couldn't each locations in fact have several IP addresses?

Correct me if I am wrong, I'm hoping I am wrong. I'm looking for an enterprise solution around our internet authentication so SCCM/OSD can deploy and auto activate itself.
