bios settings for dual-boot

    Question

  • i have 2 hard drives, 1 with xp and 1 with vista. i want to be able to choose which hard drive to boot after the bios loads but i cannot figure out how to set it up.  i can change the boot priority in the bios settings but it will only load the first hard drive.  both hard drives are formatted ntfs and both partitioned as mbr if that matters...thanks

  • Hello,

that has nothing to with your BIOS setting, Vista takes precedence in dual installation. You can use EasyBCD to change the boot order from the vista installation.

BTW, this forum is related to IT management, you should use a Vista forum or XP for your questions.
