    Hi,

If you're use you Monitor in extend mode. This issus is by design. If you  want to change the background of lock screen. Here is some imformation:

    1.       Find the “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background

    2.       Set  DWORD value of OEMBackground to 1.  If the key value does not exist, you should create it.

    3.       You need to choose a piece of picture, move it to  windows\system32\oobe\info\backgrounds( If the “background” floder does not exist, you should create it), rename its name with “backgroundDefault.JPG”.

Notice : This picture must be JPG format, and less than 256K.

    Hi Willy,

I already completed this step by checking this website:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/windows-7-background-on-user-login-page/d1f1e4b7-f3ca-4b88-8c05-7a2a63d31bc5

adding another point to your comment

    click start, and type gpedit.msc

Go to Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | Logon

and set the 'Always use custom logon background' to enabled.

    Create a folder named C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds

Put the file you want there, and name it backgroundDefault.jpg

    click start, and type gpedit.msc

Go to Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System | Logon

and set the 'Always use custom logon background' to enabled.

    Create a folder named C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds

Put the file you want there, and name it backgroundDefault.jpg

I required to have this background image on both the screens...! is there anyway to do that...!

    Thanks,
    Prem

This is not so much by design as it is lack of design.

1.Right-click in any blank place on the Windows 7 desktop and choose screen resolution.

2.Click the 1 box to set up your first monitor and 2 to set up the second.

3.You can also choose where to show the primary desktop.

4.To change the orientation of one of the monitors, click the desired monitor and select the desired orientation from the drop-down box.

5.To change the resolution on either display, click the desired monitor and then adjust the resolution using the vertical slider.

    6.Click the Apply button.

7.Click the Keep Changes button to keep the new settings or click Revert to return to the old ones.

8.When you’re done, click the OK button to close the Display Settings dialog box.
