Server 2008 R2 and AD DS Administrator Accounts Planning Guide

2012年4月30日 14:35Does anyone know if there is a guide equivalent to the 2005 version of The Administrator Accounts Security Planning Guide for Server 2008 R2? For server 2003 it was best practice to have a separate account for administrative tasks. With UAC in 2008, is that no longer the case? Any help would be much appreciated.

I would still follow the same best practice, irrespectice of UAC.
It might be worth a look in the Windows Server 2008 R2 security guide that is now included as part of the SCM tool.
Cheers

Hi,
It the lastest version. please refer the following articles:
Windows Server 2008 Security Guide
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Search/en-US?query=security%20guide%202008&ac=3
Windows Server 2008 R2 Security Baseline
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg236605.aspx
they are now attached to only one baseline called "Attachments \ Guides" for each product. So, what you need to do in SCM 2.0 is navigate the tree in the left-hand pane, expand "Microsoft Baselines" then expan "Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1" and then select "Attachments \ Guides." You should see a file called "Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Security Guide.docx" in the middle pane, if you select it you can then click "Save As" in the Actions pane on the right.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards
