I have a Worm_strat/gen3 and cant figure out how to get rid of it
- I have tried various tools, malware when I use this i get the blue screen of death, I have used windows live one care and it doesn;t get rid of it. I also tried to use spybot and again it gives me the blue screeen. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this??
The error message i get is Potential Threat detected Worm_Strat.Gen3 C/system Volume Information restore and lots of #s . I tried to do a system restore to a point previous to getting the error message and i can;t complete one. HELP

I did some research regarding “Worm_strat/gen3”. This worm arrives as attachment to email messages spammed by another malware or a malicious user. It may be dropped by other malware. It may be downloaded unknowingly by a user when visiting malicious Web sites. It creates registry key(s)/entry(ies) as part of its installation routine. It modifies registry key(s)/entry(ies) as part of its installation routine.
To fully remove all associated worm, you may refer to the following article:
