    Hello,

My MOM service has suddenly stopped running for no reason everything was working fine and then today I have come into 100% Clients Not Reporting... I found teh MOM service was not running. I restarted it and it got teminated pretty much straight away and it keeps on doing this.

I have applied the following Hotfix from MS: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930770

However it has not resolved the issue. Its still happening.

    I get the following errors:

    9104 -

The Microsoft Operations Manager service (MOMService.exe) terminated due to an unhandled exception.   It will attempt to restart itself.

    9105 -

The Microsoft Operations Manager service (MOMService.exe) received an unexpected exception.

    Hi James,

    Thank you for the post.

To MOM service 9104 and 9105 events, it's right to patch KB930770 and KB949874. Moreover, you need to clear the MOM agent cache on your server.
    http://marcusoh.blogspot.com/2005/09/clearing-mom-agent-cache.html

To MOM Service Discovery alert, please update or reset your DAS account password in AD and COM Component Services.

    Rick,

Thank you for the response. I have cleared the MOM cache after a slight change in the directory as its running on Server 2008 but we got there so I will see if it holds true.

I have had a look at the DAS Account password in AD and its set to never expire so there shouldnt be an issue with this. Or is there something I am over looking?

    Many Thanks

    James
