    Hi,

    I have got a new project in my company where I am asked to upgrade existing ISA 2006 Enterprise to TMG EMS arrays. To achieve this I will be building a brand new TMG EMS on a new hardware and add an array of TMG 2010 virtual machines and this will be done in a similar way for all our sites. e.g.

    1). Single EMS Server at each site.

    2). Array will be created at each site and added to the EMS at that site.

    3). Inter Site Synchronisation between EMS's at each site. 

    I have a problem here, Since there will an EMS at each site therefore I need to make sure that EMS at every site to talk to each other and be in Sync all the times.

    I do not know how to get this working and configure the synchronisation between the all the EMS's. Can someone guide me thru this. I will be starting pretty soon and needs to get my head around on the work.

    Hello,

    To achieve this goal :

    • For the first EMS deploy it as a master
    • For the others EMS deploy them as replicate of the EMS Master

    Hello,

    Many thanks for lightening reply. If I deploy first EMS as a master and the other EMS as replicate of the EMS Master then will it not be similar to the CSS in the ISA's.

    If yes, then will it not interfere with the computer objects created on the site basis added the policies. (e.g. McAfee policy will contain servers at the local site and will be added to the TMG servers at that site). I do not want a situation where the remote server get added to the policy as part of EMS replication, whereas it should not be.

    I may be wrong, but has never deployed multiple EMS's on site basis, so that's why this question is there.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the post.

    EMS includes CSS, and it is used for central management of multiple locations. You may read this article: http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/TMG-Enterprise-Arrays-Explained.html.
