    Welcome!

This forum was created specifically for AIS customers to submit their comments, experience, feedback, and bug reports while they work with the new features we have made available in version 1.5.

If you are a current AIS customer, you will automatically benefit from these new features.  When you lof into AIS, please note the new tab in bottom-left hand corner of the AIS console, labelled "Licenses".

    What's new:
    • You can now upload your Microsoft volume license agreement numbers. This will retrieve your Microsoft licensing data from the Microsoft licensing repository and load it into your AIS account.
    • Once your entitlement information is retrieved, it can then be compared to your current inventory to give you a good understanding of your license position.
    • You can assign license agreements to groups that correspond to groups you have created in your inventory
    • You can then generate a license statement, that breaks out your applications by channel (volume licensing or OEM, for example), and compares them to the correct licensed quantities.
    • You can also save  statements for future reference and any view any previously generated/saved statements.

You can read more about AIS 1.5 in our team blog, here.  For questions and comments about exisiting AIS features, such as deployment, reporting, and inventory, please use the regular AIS forums, located here

As you explore the new areas in AIS, we invite you to post your comments and finding in this forum.  The AIS team will be monitoring posts.  Our goal is to make the AIS service a essential part of your desktop management strategy.

On behalf of the AIS team, thanks!

A view of the deployed version (1.0 and 1.5) percentages  would be helpful. I suggest a pie chart on the Management and Support screen similar to the Software Summary chart on the Home screen. Customers can then run a programs report to dig into details.

    Hello, there,

everywhere on the website it's touted that AIS v1.5 is released.

But where's it? What's the address of it? How can I evaluate its features if I don't know how to reach it?..

    Hello,

AIS is one of the products that comes with the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack, which is a benefit available to customers who have volume licensing and Software Assurance.  If you have SA, you can contact your Microsoft account manager (or your reseller) to find out how you can get it.  Here is the site that describes MDOP in more detail.

    Hope that helps,
