How do you turn off compatibility mode in excel?

Hi,
Compatability mode is there to ensure your spreadsheet is compatable with prior versions of excel. In Excel 2007 you be in Compatibility mode when you open a Excel 97-2003 xls workbook.
Try saving as a .xlsx format (2007 xml based) and you will not lose the settings. IN doing so users with prior versions will not be able to open the document without losing the any formating or features not backward compatible.Change the default file format to one of the 2007 formats and you will not see it.

Can you please be more specific??? It's not at all clear from your response what one is supposed to do.
I'm in Excel 2010 and would like to use Sparklines but can't figure out how to turn off compatibility mode.

2012년 8월 2일 목요일 오후 10:33 After I saved my doc as .xlsx I have to close it and reopen it for the compatibility mode to turn off and make the sparklines appear. Hope this helps.
