help? excel will only let me close the spreadsheet

Just wondering if someone can help. when i am alt + tab between excel version 1 and excel version 2, one of the versions freezes and if you click on dropdowns nothing happens - the only thing you can do is close it down. this only happens when i am working on my laptop. please help! thanks x

Hi,
We can install and use more than one version of Microsoft Office on a single computer. However, we do not recommend this.
Try to use the following methods to use two versions in one computer:
- Virtualization
- Installation order
