I rolled out over the last 5 days a MRM policy that purges deleted items after 90 days, calendar items after 180 days and sent items after 730 days.
Deleted items are set to purged 90 days after they are moved there by the user. Sent and Calendar items are purged from received/end time for calendars.
This worked perfect on my mailbox and at this point most mailboxes however help desk reported today that two accounts are missing all but a few contacts and their entire distribution list is deleted??
I went into deleted items and nothing there, went into dumpster and nothing there. At this point I am not sure why it happened and how to recover. I can say that these two mailboxes are from at least exchange 2003 maybe 2000; however I checked other users from same time period and they are working as expected.
Any ideas on why this may have happened and how to recover outside of backups?
2012년 3월 1일 목요일 오후 3:48As it turns out these two users the we know about moved there contacts into the Calendar folder, so now we are left with trying to move it out of Calendar Items which at this point is being difficult., any ideas on this?
We had to export and import the items all is working..
