    Hello,

I'm using Vista Enterprise and had shut off UAC because it was blocking everything (as its supposed to). Now UAC has turned itself back on. if I shut it off again, when I reboot, it stays off, but on the next reboot it comes back on. I don't know what is turning it back on. Is there a way to figure out what is turning it back on?

Some other information that may be useful: I am an Administrator (as far as I can tell) but some of the security settings are grayed out. For example, all the User Account Control settings are listed but I cannot change them.

Also, I get an Access Denied error if I run this from the command line:

          C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /k %windir%\System32\reg.exe ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v EnableLUA /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Yet I can run MSCONFIG.EXE and from the Tools tab I am able to Disable the UAC.

    Thank you for the help.
