Problem Setting up an Exchange Calendar Overlay

I'm hoping someone has seen this before because I haven't found a lot of information on the issue. I'm trying to setup a calendar overlay using exchange. There really isn't anything special going on. I'm trying to display the calendar of the logged in user overlayed on a sharepoint calendar. The following links are what I'm using for Outlook Web Access URL and the Exchange Web Service. Both seem to resolve correctly (Sorry, I can't include the actual domain name in this post).
https://mailserver.domain.org/owa/
https://mailserver.domain.org/EWS/Exchange.asmxThe error message that I'm seeing is the following...
"E-mail address is empty. You should set Exchange e-mail address into your user profile to retrieve calendar data from Exchange server."
I'm seeing this in both the gui and in the ULS logs.
I checked with my IT resource who runs the exchange server and appears that all Exchange address information is in the user profile and I've synced the profile in sharepoint and everything seems fine there.
Is there any more information on what information needs to be in the user profile or anywhere else I can look to see a reason for why the error is being produced? Maybe a log or something.
Thanks for any help!

Hi,
The error is very clear. You must check your profiles are in sync with AD/Exchange for e-mail.
Sharepoint overlay picks up current user’s e-mail from profile to pull data from Exchange calendar.
Check user account in AD.

Thanks for the reply,
Maybe I'm missing something but we've already checked that our SharePoint profiles are in sync with AD and the user's e-mail is available in their profile that's visible in SharePoint's My Profile page. Is it a different property than "Work e-mail"?
Thanks again.
