Content deployment job Clarification..

Hi All,
Is it possible to import the Exported Cab files generated from UI Content Deployment job by using stsadm import command in sharepoint 2010.
If yes can u please specify the command for it.
I am able to do both export and import with stsadm command but if export is done by cd job and import failed for some reason then im not sure about going ahead with import using stsadm utilizing the cab files genearted by CD job(UI).
