What are the purpose of the columns in SQL Profiler 2000 version.
I am bit confused with this columns - Reads, Writes and Duration
Which unit denoted for these measurements ?

Duration is in milliseconds. The logical reads is the number of pages (8k blocks) read from cache, whereas physical reads is the number of pages read from disk.
Here is a good thread on the topic with some links to further documentation:

I am bit confused with this columns - Reads, Writes and Duration
Reads are logical page (8k) reads, the target of optimization. Common optimization is very likely reads reduction.
Writes are usually not targeted in optimization.
Duration can also be target of optimization especially when stored procedure reengineering required. However, you have to make sure that blocking is not the cause of high duration. For example, a stored procedure with a normal duration of 100 msec, may have on occasion 6 sec duration due to blocking. As such, it does not require optimization, but the blocking sproc has to be investigated.
