windows 7 ultimate USB port failure
- My USB port got problem on driver , the problem is i had installed the latest intel INF, after each time i start my laptop , i would see at the device manager where at the USB port with yellow mark, then i try to update the usb port driver, the result i get is ( you already had the latest driver) . not fix yet.
after that i do uninstall the usb port and then rescan back the hardware, this time the computer find the usb port and automatically install the driver for it. and everything that plugged in the USB worked again and function very well plus there is no more yellow mark at the device manager. this is some weird condition, where after that i restart the computer, the USB port giving problem again, which meant before loading the windows logon menu the mouse include all usb devices was cannot function untill i do the same action on device manager, then it function again,
i do not want to use the system restore function and i already doing a scan for the computer by "sfc /scannow" and there is no fix.. plus my computer does not have install WWAN software. and there is no problem with usb power management.
plus, here what i got from the event viewer each time i start the computer,

and i also try uninstall the KIS but it still the same..but the thing i realise is the system become fast 300% without the antivirus.
buttheway,,,i think this all has connection with the mpfilt.sys because at the event viewer show that this problem occur each time when loading windwos.
so would you help me if you know how to fix it.

- OK , now my problem is solve. the solution i found on the chinese blog. it is about the ____ that done by the mpfilt.sys (ALCOR manafacture ) ..

- What is the exact make and model of your laptop? There are still some systems that need system drivers. Have you checked the manufacturers website to see if there are any for your laptop? Have you verified your laptop can support Windows 7?
- It's asus N80VM motherboar, (X83VM-X2). last time when i using the windows 7 it was running great without this problem.. then i didnt know what i has done untill get this problem. but in my record that i had done nothing. my laptop just running fine with the intel chipset INF, and my laptop can support windows 7 althought the manufacture does not mention it in the list.
plus..the problem is significant with the system driver. might be with the USB port driver, etc. - OK , now my problem is solve. the solution i found on the chinese blog. it is about the ____ that done by the mpfilt.sys (ALCOR manafacture ) ..

- I have the same problem and that looks like a good solution on that page, but I don't read Chinese and the translation websites don't work well. Any chance of you telling what it says to do? I made out something about localmachine\system\currentcontrolset\services\mpfilt and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and saw pictures of file locations but I don't have a clue what is says to do. This is social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en so please give us some English. I don't want to delete the wrong stuff or anything. Thanks
- Firstly, You go to the folder \Windows\syswow64\drivers and delete this file mpfilt.sys . then restart the computer.
after that open up the regedir editor . and then go to localmachine\system\currentcontrolset\services\mpfilt , then delete this "mpfilt" folder.
Done the same to these two key also ...localmachine\system\controlset001\services\mpfilt and localmachine\system\controlset002\services\mpfilt
. then go to this key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and delete this value "Lowerfilters " . done the same to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\controlset001\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\controlset002\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000} .
