Set of test utilities for DIY computer builders:
Note: If you are OverClocking or use any automatic overclocking or power saving BIOS features, start out by disabling them: Intel EIST, Turbo Mode, Cool and Quite and drop back to the stock speed as a starting point.
Disconnect any other (additional) internal hard drives and external USB devices.
Check for any loose hard drive power or SATA cables, Graphics card or other power cables.First run Memtest86+:
This runs from a boot disk or CD and should eliminate or confirm if your one or more of your memory
sticks are bad or the SPD values in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or more hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors by then your ram is OK.

Test your drive - Create a Bootable CD:
Anywhere from 5 to 20%, (depending on the manufacture) of new hard drives are defective.
Test your drive using the drive manufacture's utility.
If you have a new Seagate hard drive the very next thing would be to download Seagate's Seatools
(the bootable CD) and check for bad sectors:

2012년 5월 29일 화요일 오후 8:22This issue is a hardware problem.
As you said, installing the 560Ti cause more problems and the Radeon 6770 causes less problems. This may be due to insufficient power due to faulty power supply or overheating. Check the following. Open the BIOS. Go to hardware monitoring or PC health status or download HWMonitor from CPUID website. Check all the voltages and temperatures. If they are fine, test the stability of the RAMs using Intel Burn Test software or memtest86+. Also tighten all the power cables inside the system.
If all are ok, go to the ASUS website and download the latest BIOS for your motherboard and update it using Asus EZFlash. Check if you are having any problems then. -

Have you set the Graphics Adapter in the BIOS to "PEG"?

jw im about to try the stress tests as you have advised
ran memtest last night 3 passes no errors
checked my ram timings was set to 1t instead of 2t corrected it
checked my drives via quick test using western digital drive diagnostic no errors found
weirdly im having no issues now
except last night
i was streaming to another pc defragmenting a drive while streaming movies from same drive
and explorer crashed and restarted thinking maybe the drive was doing too much at once i closed everything
but then after this i closed a program but it wouldnt close had to open task manager to force close it
then heres the weird part my mouse would move but both buttons left and right where right click
and only half my keys worked aka delete didnt work neither did space but letters did then none of my keyboard worked then it started letting me press buttons again but no delete
didnt work on my keyboard nor my streaming device connected remotely to this pc until i restarted

i did prime95 for 5 hours on the max stress test (with lots of memory tested it said) i left that on for 5 hours max temp was 68 cpu but my cores where max 52degrees anyway it returned no errors
the previousely mentioned disk says warning on hdtune in orange text but the drive itself functions fine
ultra dma crc error count value is 1
would this affect my sleep causing it to bsd on wake
i already did sfc /scannow elevated and also chkdsk no problems or errors reported
i think my motherboard is faulty but i wanted to be completely sure and still im not

Check for a BIOS update, sometimes an update will include better CPU compatabily as part of the update.

so i bought a new psu but it kept turning off randomly it was suggested it may be the motherboard
bad psu il take it back tomorrow
but on inspection i noticed my new ssd power port and sata port are loose and flimsy like there not connected to the inbuilt controller card
i bought this item a week ago so this does fit with my issues
and also i noticed big issswih the new vlc player where it freezes during mp4 playback and i never had that issue before until i updated to it
apparently 2.01 is a whole redesign so i rolled back to version 1.11 and all my issue went away
thanks for your help

the powersupply i bought was a 700 watt powercool gt series
when i used it in my machine it would just cut out and wouldnt turn back on again unless i pulled out the cable and drained the board by holding powerbutton (i used two cables to test)
it was cutting out randomly 4-5 times before or just after login
i tried it in a low power machine
dual core 2 gigs of ram 2 hds and a gt 250 and it worked but seemed stuttery on the graphics
i had powered m5a99x evo 1 working ssd and my nvidia 560ti
i took it back and the guy told me he would power test it invited me around the back and showed me a device that checked the volts
he said theres nothing wrong with it i took it back and tried again 2 more times orf wiring it up and same issue it kept cutting out
i took it back today suggesting that the power supply does not check it under a load under a load
and that it was infact broken
my cpu temps are 29-36 degrees the cpu cores are 10 degrees
motherboard is 32 degrees
and graphics are 30 degrees
and now my old psu the tx750 is reconnected all my problems have gone and not 1 cut out wth this psu
is that powersupply damaged? i took it back to repair but he suggests it could be my motherboard shorting
but i used all te standoffs theres no breaks in my cable and no marks on my board and its been working like a dream since i pulled out the dodgy drive
is the psu damaged or is it my mobo?

Check the 700W power supply specs for the +12V rail
Also is it a single rail or multiple rail and how much current can each +!2V rail supply ?
