Hello,
I am looking for a way to retain the profile settings of 3 user accounts post sysprep. For Example I have Admin, Backup, User1. This is a workgroup only computer (not on a domain). When i reun sysprep then deploy using MDT I find that i some desktop settings have been reverted to dafult ie windows update/firewall/action center notifications, IE OOBe.
I would like to avoid these resets if possible. If someone could help that would be great.

Hi,
The sysprep tool by default deletes any user profiles, and uses the customizations from the local administrator to create the default user profile.
Maybe some of these might help:

You can use the User State Migration Tool which is included in MDT but you have to do it before running sysprep and for more information please refer to this web site

Hi
I understand if you wish to copy the profile of one of your accounts as the default you can use an answer file from image manager with the copyprofile set to true. The only question i have is how to select which profile to copy? Should i log into the account i wish to copy and then sysprep it in the command line with the copyprofile unattand file attached or do i have to specify in some way which profile to copy to default?
Regards
Peter
