    Hi everyone,

I'm really impressed with Windows 7... the only trouble is I've downloaded the 64-bit iso and installed it without any problems, but on the 'system' page in control panel, it tells me it is only 32-bit.

Part of my experimenting with Win7 is future-proofing, so I would really prefer the 64-bit version.

Before you ask, I have E2160 Core 2 duo at 3Ghz on a Gigabyte GA-31-DS3L motherboard.

    Any ideas?

    Yours,

    Matthew

    If you've downloaded the x64 version, it's size should be 3 387 009 024 bytes. :)

Really, its that big? No wonder mine do not work. The 32bit version is 2.43GB and the 64bit version says 3.15GB. I am unable to use the microsoft download manager to get the files, so I am using a link to the 2 downloads. If you could post a link to the larger files it would be much appreciated.

    3 387 009 024 bytes = 3.15439 (or 3.15GB).

As for the OP problem, I'm quite sure he's mistaken & installed the 32-bit version...

Oh, if you want direct download links:

    32-bit ISO

    64-bit ISO
