    hello,

    my friend has an email with jpeg.rem extension files which inculudes photo's. he got this email on his Gmail accont .he is using windows 7 on one computer and windows XP sp3 on onther computer. so I searched for rem.extension to open this fies. it seems to me that JPEG.REM extension been used by black berry .

    how I can open this files in windows 7, if I download blackberry desktop manager for windows 7 can I solve this problem or I have to download onother software.can you give me some advise how to solve this problem. (also if possible how I can solve the same problem under  windows XP) .

    very short answers wil be enough.

    Hi,

    Please contact BlackBerry forum for professional assistance.

    As far as I know, the jpeg.rem extension files which encrypted by Blackberry devices. 

    REM files can only be decrypted on a BlackBerry devices. You can turn off encryption and then transfer files to a computer and open them normally.
    NOTE: REM files may be transferred to a computer using RIM's BlackBerry software, but cannot be opened directly on a Mac or PC.
